Lynchburg Letter: W. H. Loyd to J. William Gayner

February 5, 1926

This letter concerns what to do with Mr. Gayner's personal belongings that remain at the Lynchburg plant. Original document was scanned by Dennis Bratcher and converted to text. A scan of W. H. Loyd's copy of the original letter is below.

February 5, 1926.

Dear Mr. Gayner;

Replying to your letter of the second, I am enclosing, herewith, the circulars of the sale and balance sheet of our books as requested. Also please be advised that the machines and moulds in question will be taged [sic] and I will put all of this in the end bin under lock and key.

You did not state in letter whether you wished your personal things left here or not so I will take it that you do and will put everything together in one place and mark it as yours. As far as I can tell you have moved nearly everything from your office except the cot and mattress, two pictures, and a row of box files on the floor and possibly some little things in the closet and kitchen cabinet.

Advise me if this is your understanding and please give Mrs. Gayner my best regards and be sure to come down to the sale and buy in this plant. I am certainly very sorry for you and myself in this connection and wish there were some way to come back.

Sincerely yours,

[W. H. Loyd]
